Un poco de Historia:

        El tema aparece en el álbum Zooropa: un video single diferenta a cualquiera de los formatos normales se utilizó para este tema. The Edge la cantó y la interpretó en directo la primera vez el 7 de julio de 1993 en Roma. The Edge interpretó Numb en los MTV Video Awards en Los Ángeles el 3 de septiembre de 1993 – su primera aparición en directo y en solitario. La mezcla de The Soul Assassins se puede encontrar en el single Last Night on Earth. En la televisión de US Weird, Al Jankovic  leyó la letra de Numb por parte de los Green Eggs del Dr. Suess y Ham to the tune  como una parodia. Una versión grabada de la canción por parte de Die Krupps se puede encontrar en We Will Follow: A Tribute to U2. La mezcla GimmeSome More Dignity aparece en la película Showgirls. Una versión editada de la misma mezcla se puede encontrar en el recopilatorio Special Brew. La mezcla Our Tribe Mix de Numb apareció en el audio book (CD y cassette) para el Neuroromancer de Willian Gibson. Los experimentalistas de dance Británicos The Orb crearon dos remezclas de Numb – The Assassin (live orbient) y Numb (def + numb mix 2) Ambas permanecen sin editar.
